Table 2. This abstract presents a methodological overview of utilizing the Enhanced Critical Incident Technique (ECIT) in a phenomenological study investigating counselors' perspectives on complementary alternative therapies for children with intellectual disabilities. Drawing from the well-established ECIT framework, this presentation highlights the process of developing an interview protocol to capture rich, unique participant experiences. By providing practical guidance, this presentation enhances ECIT's utility as a qualitative research tool and contributes to qualitative methods in counseling research.
