Table 1. In this session, the preliminary results of original action research on LGBTQ+ affirming counseling training will be presented. Using the current literature and their research as a basis, the presenters will examine potential needs, considerations, and challenges in researching the effectiveness of LGBTQ+ affirming counseling training. Additionally, the presenters will engage attendees to apply implications to their own counselor education practice and research agendas.
