Table 4. It can be challenging to engage online and hybrid doctoral students in the research process due to a variety of factors. These programs often attract nontraditional students who bring additional challenges when considering their intersectional identities such as employment, family status, and SES. We will be discussing strategies that can be implemented from a variety of faculty roles in order to increase students' sense of belonging, confidence, and advance their skills in the research process.
