Poster 1. FLA is a type of anxiety that affects the way students feel, act, and perceive themselves in professional settings (Horwitz et al., 1986). ESL Counseling students struggle with high levels of FLA and consequently with low levels of counseling self-efficacy. This poster presentation will provide the results of a qualitative exploration of the experiences of Hispanic ESL CITs, specific strategies to implement when working with ESL students who are experiencing FLA.
