Table 1. Most research in counselor education is conducted by research teams. Yet, we rarely discuss the dynamics and structures of research teams and some novice researchers can feel unsupported and confused in research collaborations (Lamar & Helm, 2017). In this roundtable discussion rooted in relational cultural theory (Jordan, 2017), attendees will share strategies and challenges related to self-advocacy, logistics, unexpected challenges, momentum, and power dynamics on research teams.
