Poster 4. In a climate of growing multicultural and intersectional awareness, counselor educators must equip students to engage with clients from diverse backgrounds, including people with disabilities (PWD). This presentation will discuss the qualitative results from a mixed-methods study examining the development of counselor disability competence and discuss best practices to increase disability competence among counselors in training through a disability justice-focused lens.
