Table 5. This presentation includes an introduction of institutional ethnography (IE) and how it can be used to unpack ruling relations embedded in a system. The presentation includes the application of using IE to understand ruling relations embedded in CACREP-accredited programs intertwined with the promotion of DEIB in the counselor education filed. The study focused on Asian international school counseling students’ experiences in CACREP-accredited programs. Findings and implications are presented for counselor educators, programs, and professional organizations.
